One of the newest real-life settings in the curriculum is the Food Truck, also known as "STREATS’’.The concept behind the Food Truck is to make revenue by hosting events at school or elsewhere and to use that revenue to help charities and people that are in need. Therefore, the slogan is; “It feels good to do good”. Michelin hosts the annual "Michelin Star Revelation" event in Amsterdam's DeLaMar theatre on May 31. Because of the growing awareness of the impact of sustainability, chefs who run their restaurants in an eco-friendly manner will be awarded not only red stars but also green stars. The mission of Hotelschool's food truck is to make the world a better place by helping its people and contributing to a greener tomorrow. "Education through food" is one of the trends they are focusing on. As a result, they have decided to organize a "promo event" in advance of the Star's reveal, to inspire the next generation of cooks in an environmentally friendly manner.
